I have the 3790T that I want to mount on Camry flat dash area in front of clock that has depth of 3.5 inches. Window mount does not quite fit in this area and clamp down does not work in the back due to overhang. This dash mount appears to be oblong and clamps to the side...is that true? What are the base dimensions on the dash mount and if I order some temp stick bases will they work with this?

Hello,

Yes this mount will work with the nuvi 3790 all you do is replace the suction cup mount it came with , with the one listed. It uses the standard G-Ball size. The mount uses adhesive pads to mount to the dash. The bases max width is 2.5" and max length is 3".
