What is the difference between the models 010-11280-00 and -02?

Garmin has two part numbers for the product because it is available in two styles of packaging. Cardboard box and plastic blister pack. The product is the same inside the package. because they are the same we ship the one in cardboard box for both part numbers, it is less harmful to the environment if not disposed of properly. We display both PN for customers.

Why is there a $4 difference in the two items if they are the same? models 010-11280-00 and -02
should i just buy the cheaper one for my Nuvi 2460LMT?

The packaging is different as per the response to the first question. The packaging gets recycled so goign with the cheaper option is fine for your nuvi 2460LMT
