RECIENTEMENTE ADQUIRI 10 UNIDADES DEL TIPO GPS-15xW Y NO ME FUNCIONARON IGUAL A LAS QUE ANTERIORMENTE COMPRABA QUE ERAN: GPS-15W.

NECESITO SABER QUE DIFERENCIA EXISTE EN LA FORMA QUE ENTREGAN LOS DATOS DE SALIDA, YA QUE NO PUEDO RECIBIR NINGUNA INFORMACION

MI PREGUNTA ES: PUEDO HACER QUE LAS NUEVAS UNIDADES GPS15xW FUNCIONEN IGUAL QUE LAS ANTERIORES GPS15W?

RECENTLY ADQUIRI 10 UNITS OF the GPS-15xW TYPE AND DID NOT WORK ME EQUAL TO WHICH PREVIOUSLY IT BOUGHT THAT THEY WERE: GPS-15W. I NEED TO KNOW THAT IT DIFFERENTIATES EXISTS IN THE FORM THAT GIVES THE OUTPUT DATAS, SINCE I CANNOT RECEIVE ANY INFORMATION MY QUESTION IS: I CAN CAUSE THAT the NEW GPS15xW UNITS WORK JUST AS the PREVIOUS GPS15W?

Hello Mario,
The OEM 15 uses RS232 voltage (-12V to +12V DC) levels for communication, meaning you can hook it directly to the serial port of a computer. (or use a serial to USB converter)

The OEM15X uses CMOS voltage levels (0.1V to 3V DC) for communications. You have to run the serial lines through a line converter to bring the voltages back up.

I use MAXIM chips because most of them don't require a lot of extra components. You can also wire the device right to a FTDI chipset and use your USB port and a Virtual Serial Port Driver.

El OEM 15 utiliza los niveles del voltaje RS232 (- 12V a la C.C. de +12V) para la comunicación, significando que usted puede engancharla directamente al puerto serial de una computadora. (o utilice un cuento por entregas al convertidor del USB) El OEM15X utiliza los niveles voltaicos del Cmos (0.1V a C.C. 3V) para las comunicaciones.
