I would like to use this GPS to put navigation data onto a research video. I have the device to overlay the GPS data (Geostamp audio) on the video, I just wanted to know what information the GPS has. I need the location coordinates and the time for every frame of my video. A measure of speed would also be good but I can do without that. Will the Garmin OEM GPS work for this?

Hello Karen,

The unit can be set to output NMEA or Garmin data. In that data you will have speed, position, heading, DOP, and more. The Garmin OEM GPS can be used for this as long as your software or device supports NMEA or Garmin data.
