I have the map series from Garmin that I use on my Legend HCx. If I buy this new Garmin 20, will I be able to use those same maps or do I have to buy another series?

What maps do you have? If they are locked to your Legend HCX then you will not be able to use them with the Etrex 20. Some other maps like Topo will be able to be used with the new device as long as you are running the new Map Install and Basecamp programs. Map Source is no longer used for map transfer and data management with new units.

Thanks for the lightning fast response to my question.
I own the TOPO Canada Version 4.0 from a CD-ROM I purchased. I have no idea what software is used to get it on my GPS since once it was on there I never needed to use the CD-ROM again.

It is Topo Canada V4 then you would of been using Basecamp and Mapinstall. The older V2 came with map source. You will be fine with the new unit.
