Does this GPS locate any roads at all or do you HAVE to buy additional maps?

Hi Sheena!

This unit does have roads on it, but will not be as detailed as a street map. I would highly recommend buying the street map if you plan on using it in the city as well. Garmin does have the current Canada topo map on their site for viewing, so you can see if it has the detail you need. Please see:

I took a quick look and i am not sure where you meant to go. It brought me to a topo canada link, doesn't this gps already come equipped with this?
