My Garmin eTrex Venture HC will not allow me to incert number 7. This one when changing my location on the unit. example. N33 55.795 I was going to update an additional setting on a 4 part set. I could change all number BUT 7 ,is this a common problem ? I have the latest ver. installed. 3.30 and I reloaded it again. I also cleaned the history which was at 80 now it is clear. Let me know how to fix this problem.

It could be the coordinate system you are using. If you are in Degrees, Minutes, Seconds you can not go higher than 59. Because there are 60 seconds in a minute and 60 minutes in a degree. You may need to make sure that you are in the right coordinate system for the data you are entering. I personally prefer Decimal Degrees (hddd.ddddd) In that format you can enter numbers higher than 7 because it is not broken down into minutes and seconds.

Main Menu -> Setup -> Units -> Position Format

If the above is not what you are noticing please feel free to call for assistance. 1-800-800-1020
