Original question asked on Oct 31, 2011, 12:38am
Can I download maps from Terrain Navigator to the Oregon 450?
Can I download the 220 waypoints I transfered to terrain Nav. with my old Lowrance Global Nav 12?
(Do I really need to spend another $80 on Topo maps?)

By what I can read on the Maptech website is that the terrain Navigator maps will only run on a PC or PDA running windows. The maps are meant for creating routes and waypoints along with managing your data. The Data your backed up from your Lowrance can be transferred to the Oregon via Basecamp. Just save the points in Maptech to a common format like GPS and then open in Basecamp.

You may be able to use the Garmin custom map feature to get the Terrain Navigator maps into the Oregon. It is not an easy process. I would suggest getting the Garmin maps for your area because of ease of use and upload to the unit. You wont have to spend hours learning the custom map feature then more time making the maps.

You will want to contact Maptech for they will know their product better and can provide better guidance.
