Have garmin fix battery life ? How can I conserve batt life? I'm going to use it whole day of ATVing

The Oregon 450 did not have a battery issue but you can save power by.

1. Turning the backlight down to min and make the timeout very short. Tap the power button to access the backlight screen.
2. Make sure that Chirp and fitness sensors are turned off.
Settings -> Geocaching -> Chirp Searching (turn it to off)
Settings -> Fitness -> 'Make sure Cadence and HR are off.
3. You can use a bare wire or vehicle power cable to power the unit while riding the ATV. That will save the batteries for when you get off the ATV and walk around.
