I just placed an order for a 450 - ordering the Backroad GPS Maps Ontario microSD with SD Adapter. (Look under Nuvi 550).

I had previously specified that I wanted to load Canadian Top maps.

Sorry, I didn't say exactly what I wanted to say.

I initially sought tech assistance while considering a Nuvi 550 on Nov. 28. I was advised to purchase an Oregon 450. I ordered same, today, along with 5-accessory items. (For background, go to the Nuvi 550 Q @ A site).

I was instructed to purchase your Backroad GPS Maps Ontario microSD with Adapter. (Your web info suggests they include more info than Can's Topo maps). The Eastern Can Topo map includes a much larger area than your Ontario Backroads map.

I wanted to be assured that I will be able to load this map if I wanted to use ATV trails in Quebec or even NFLD. (I mean, load the Can topo map along with the your Backroads Topo map).

When I placed my order I was advised I'd receive a confirmation via email plus FedEx tracking info for delivery. I have not rec'd the latter.

Supplementary Q:

I ordered the RAP-B-279-2-GA32Garmin non-skid grip-lock suction cup mount since I want to mount my GPS "on the dash of my Polaris RZR sport ute". The order person could not advise me of the "base dimension" of this mount. What is the diameter of the mount. It is not given in the specifications. I have two areas both of which provide limited space. The larger area is about 4" square.

The RAP-B-279-2-GA32 will not be good for off-roading. It will fall off your dash often. You are better off with a mount that will attach to the Polaris RZR sport and not sit on the dash. I would use a RAM-B-138-GA32 (screw down mount) or a mount that can attach to one of the roll bars safely.

The diameter of the non-skid base is approximately 6.5 inches.
