"The RAP-B-279-2-GA32 will not be good for off-roading. It will fall off your dash often. You are better off with a mount that will attach to the Polaris RZR sport and not sit on the dash. I would use a RAM-B-138-GA32 (screw down mount) or a mount that can attach to one of the roll bars safely. The diameter of the non-skid base is approximately 6.5 inches."

*Would rather not drill holes in the dash and I want the GPS visible to both riders. The flat area I want to use is 4" square.*

What about the RAM-B-166U mount with RAM-224-1U suction cup base?

If the RAM-B-138-GA32 mount is the 'only' sensible thing, it means changing my order, again!

I thought your suction cup mounts stuck like crazy glue and wouldn't come off until released.

We do not recommend suction cups for off-roading as there is the possibility that the suction may release. Our recommendation would still be something more permanent such as the RAM-B-138-GA32 or the handlebar/rollbar option. We also have clutch and brake assembly mounts, and stem mount options that may work.

I want the GPS in the centre of the machine. An RZR does not have handle bars it has a steering wheel with a brake pedal.

What's a stem mount?

The stem mount is for a motorbike stem. It is best to choose a mount that will securely hold the GPS to the vehicle for those rough trails. You can mount to the roll cage using a RAMB108GP1 with a RAMHOLGA31 or to the dash using the RAM-B-138-GA31 (the GA32 is not for the Oregon). You can use double sided adhesive or screw the ramb138 down. There are lots of options available for you. Here is a link to other styles.

Have you ever seen an RZR, the most popular selling sport utv?

I've previously stated 'middle of the machine' mounting. The left roll cage tube position is not visible to a passenger.

You URL takes me to a page largely filled with mounts you've already nixed. I don't want to floor mount my GPS.

Roxie suggested:
Adhesive dash mount:
Suction Cup mount:
Non-Skid Friction base, to be used with the suction cup above:

According to my research this mount requires a base of 6.5" in dia. and one option uses a suction cup which you have already nixed. I have previously specified my preferred dash mounting, just left of machine-centre location is 4".

I drove to Aylmer and back yesterday (1 1/2 hr return) to measure the rod height for a cup mounted base which would sit down inside the RZR, meaning it could not fall onto the ground unless my machine was upside-down. Not likely!! I think this would work fine - if the base fits my cup holders in the centre of the machine, just above the floor in front of the shift

This was clipped from my previous:

I'm not happy about the GPS being 18" from its base so the
RAM-B-138-GA31 might be a wise option - with its 2.5" base and sticky plate (double-sided disc).

Will you communicate with your sales staff about this?
