i just bought a montana 600. while working with it the unit will shut off. i have to push the on button to get the unit to turn on again. this mostly happens when i am editing waypoints. it is not the battery saving mode as that was turned off. it has the latest version.
thank you

It is possible that there may be a corrupt waypoint causing the issue. Use Basecamp to manage and backup the waypoints. Then remove them from the Montana. Add them back one by one to determine which one may be corrupt.

Sometimes the screen just goes into sleep mode. Perhaps your issue. I run my ATV with a blank screen to save battery life and all you have to do it tap the screen. You can choose how long the screen is to stay on or chose to have it stay on all the time in the setup under display I believe
