How to measure acreage?

I purchased the 72H to measure acres in fields we plant. Is there a way to offset the perimeter by approx 15' to avoid ditches etc while driving around the fields? Will the 72H give the total acres planted?

I do not know of a way to offset the track log. The 72H will give total acres but nut it will be 3 to 15 meters out do to accuracy of recreational GPS units.
