Will the 62sc work with City Navigator maps and lifetime updates?

If I install the ''Garmin MapSource City Navigator North America and Mexico NT DVD 2012'' on my 62sc can I get unlimited lifetime updates with the ''Garmin nuMaps Lifetime Update Card for North America''? Does it work on the 62sc?

If yes, does it matter if I install the maps from the DVD or can I download them? Thanks.

Yes, the Garmin MapSource City Navigator North America and Mexico NT DVD 2012 is can be updated with the Garmin nuMaps Lifetime Update Card for North America.
The map itself will be locked to one GPS only, in this case your 62sc.
The software on the DVD is no different than the download.

Are there any advantages to getting the DVD version rather than the SD card or to download it?

The DVD can be updated but only registered to one GPS.
The preprogrammed microSD card can not be updated but can be used from one GPS to another as the map is registered to the microSD card.
The download is the same as the DVD but is without the physical disk on hand.
