Yes, the Garmin nuMaps Lifetime Update Card for North America can be applied to the Montana with City Navigator installed on it.

Does this apply to your offer too (North America with Mexico)?
I never heard of it before.
Am I correct that the nuMaps Lifetime Update is actually no map (data DVD)and it just allows me to get map updates?
How are those updates perforemd? Can I download them to my computer and integrate them in Map Source (or Basecamp) and upload them to the unit from there?

The City Navigator North America includes Mexico.
When purchased in DVD format is updated using the numaps North America lifetime update subscription and is only good for the one GPS unit.
The subscription is a key code applied to the GPS unit that has the City Navigator North America map registered to it.
Registration and application of the lifetime subscription is done on Garmin website.
The map updates are downloaded from the Garmin servers and can be downloaded to the GPS, computer and GPS, or computer only to be installed later.

So in order to get lifetime maps you have to buy the unit, then the city navigator, then the lifetime update?

That is correct. You will need to buy the maps before you can buy and use the update.
