From the Main Menu, press the Trip Computer > then the 3 bars on the side or bottom of the screen (depending on the screen orientation as landscape or portrait) > Reset.

Tom resetting on the trip computer does not reset the odometer only the trip odometer and other trip information.

When using the RESET feature on our demo Montana GPS it resets the Trip Odometer. You may need to do a update using the free Garmin software WebUpdater. Than may fix a bug you are seeing.

There also may be some terminology confusion. Are you maybe referring to the track log? aka bread crumb trail. If yes then to reset that try going into the 'Main Menu' then 'Track Manager' then 'Current Track' then 'Clear Current Track' at the bottom of the screen.

Hi Jordan, Trip odometer and odometer are 2 separate fields. Trip odometer resets but odometer does not. Exchange one of your fields on trip computer replace with odometer and you will see what I mean.

Ok, I now understand what you are looking at. It looks like this may be like the odometer on your vehicle. It can not be reset using normal methods. I found the only way to reset that Odometer at this time is to do a hard reset. Please back up all data you do not want lost to your computer.

-Power the device off
-Press and hold your finger on the upper left side of the display
-Power the device on while still maintaining pressure on the display
-Release on the display when the Do you really want to erase all user data? message appears
-Touch Yes

There has always been a way to reset the odometer. We use that for the trip to monitor the amount of miles and use the trip for our daily miles. Has anyone found it? I just got the 650t and am still stumbling around.

On the trip computer screen hit the three bars at the bottom.

You can also reset the odometer via the menu
