Does the Garmin Montana 600 marine mount recharge the battery?

Why wont the marine mount charge or power my gps??? It has power at the mount I tested it. My battery goes dead when it in the cradle. What is the sense of having it if it does not power the unit. Please help

If properly installed the marine mount will provide power to the unit and charge the lithium battery that comes with the unit. I suggest checking the fuse and check that the cradle has the proper output voltage. Here is the phone number for technical assistance with Garmin products. 1-800-800-1020
