We just purchased from GPSCITY a 655t and the US topo 24 K map. The map is loaded in the unit. When we define and select a route (from either the "Route Planner" or "Where to Go" menu)and then try to calculate it we either receive the above subject line error or a "only 50 points can be used for follow road navigation" error. We also receive the subject line error if we select the destination way point and allow the unit to attempt to calculate the route. What is the correction for these problem? Thank you.

The Rino 655t is preloaded with the 100K US Topo which does not contain routable trails or roads.

The 100K US Topo map will need to be turned off and the 24K Topo map left on when routing.

I bought the 655t and what I'm understanding is that the maps installed on it are not routable? So, I paid $600 for a gps that won't tell me how to get there.

Handhelds are not normally used for driving. You can buy routable maps for the rino series to get driving directions. You will need City Navigator NA NT.
