many trails in Haliburton - want a gps for the trails - Garmin Dakota 20 has positive reviews - is there a better one that this and need one very very simple to use - be able to get back home - lots of bush out there

The better ones would be either the eTrex 30 that supports Glonass or the Montana 650 which has more features and a larger screen. Any of the handheld units will do what you want. The Dakota is a good choice for the money. The big consideration is getting the right maps. I would highly suggest Backroad GPS Maps for Ontario.
