What temperature is the Dakota 20 is good for, and how to mount it?

Hi, just wondering what temp this dakota 20 is good for????thinking about one for snowmobiling, also what would be the best mount to get, to mount it right to my snowmobile or is there one even availible??????? thanks

Because this is a very small screen you will have problems using it with gloves on in the cold. You will be better off with a larger touch screen or a unit that uses buttons. Two units to consider are the Montana 650 (large touch screen) or the GPSMap 62S (button interface).

GPS units are good for about -10C. After that the screens tend to slow down and freeze up. We suggest putting it in your chest pocket with the screen facing your chest to keep it warm. Other people have used hand warmers to keep the unit warm in really cold areas. Always use lithium batteries in cold weather

thanks so much. if i did go ahead with the 20 or the 650 is there a good snowmobile mount out there for these units????
