I have many trails saved on by 650T, and want to see the name of the trail. Garmin tells me to put the pin point on the trail and it will give me the trail name. I use the date of the trail as the name. That does not work on my unit. Can anyone tell me if Garmin is telling me wrong, or is there something I am doing wrong?

Another problem I have is the unit turning off when aux power is removed. I use it on a ATV, and power the unit from the power outlet of the ATV, so it does not use so much battery power. The ATV power outlet is wired to the key, so every time I turn off the key the GPS no longer gets power from the ATV battery until I turn the ATV key back on. When external power is removed the GPS turns off unless you tell to stay on. Garmin told me the unit would come back on when the external power was applied again. That is not true of my unit, it does not come back on when power is applied. Is that a setting in my unit, or does Garmin not understand how the unit works? I certainly would not remember to tell the GPS to stay on every time I turn the key off.

The unit will come back on when power is applied to the power connection. There is no setting to enable or disable that.

Hovering the pin on the track will not tell you what it is from my experience. Garmin may of meant to mark a waypoint(favorite, pin) at the beginning of the track. If you hover the red map pin over that waypoint that name will come up in the white bar at the top of the screen.
