Thanks for the info Jordan but what i am trying to do is transfer gpx files from mapsource on my computer to my garmin.This is when i get the truncated message on my 76csx. Thanks

Ok, That is correct. Because it will be putting them into the internal memory they will be truncated to fit. They will loose some points and the date/time stamps. Newer units will not have that issue for the tracks and other data. They are saved in regular map memory. No truncating needed.

The GPSMap 76CSx will write tracks to a memory card but not read them.
