Recently (June) purchased 650t and full set of 24K Garmin TOPO maps (SW, West, -- all current and top of the line, supposedly. Unit absolutely refuses to route -- for example -- between Flagstaff and Salt Lake City (!) And many other shorter routes when numerous roads obviously exist. What is going on?
It does route for some routes however -- it seems random. Routed reliably for most of the summer actually so what could have changed? There are no other aberrant behaviors or signs that map files or corrupted, etc.

There could be some errors on the maps that are preventing it from taking some routes.

Be sure to only select the one map in your map settings when creating a route on the unit to see if that helps. Maybe if you have multiple map types it may not be using the right one.

You may also want to try doing a firmware update on your GPS unit using the free program Garmin Webupdater.

If the problem continues it is best to phone Garmin tech support for assistance. 1-800-800-1020
