This will be my first gps, but just because it is my first I don't want to short change myself too much on features. I keep toggling back & forth between the Oregon 450 & 550. Not sure if just having a camera is worth the $50 more? Going to be using the unit for hunting, open water & ice fishing, also snowmobiling. In your opinion which one would be a more suitable option?

Having the camera in the unit is handy. However most people have a better point and shoot they take with them. If you do not have a point and shoot camera you prefer to use then I suggest the Oregon 550. Sometimes having the Camera built in is good just in case you forget your point and shoot. I would recommend getting the Oregon 550 at this time.

I actually did a little more research & decided i didnt really need the camera. So I ordered the Oregon 450 along with city nav north america from gpscity.com last night. Once i learn how to use it a little more i will be getting a topo map & lake maps for my area. Thank you for the input i is greatly appreciated.
