How is the data shared? Situation would be if I sent data would anyone
with a compatible unit rec. the data? Does the two units have to be close
to each other to share data? Or is it using the satelite's to relay the
signal like a repeater in Ham radio?
Thanks
Ronmat

You can share collected data wirelessly with the Montana 650 and other GPS units with ANT technology. You will need to be within a few feet of each other to share data.

There is an Share Wireless option in the main menu. You will put the one unit in receive mode and the other in send mode. It will take a few seconds to transfer the data.
