Original question asked on Nov 8, 2012, 12:09pm
How do I stop the pushpin icon from appearing on the screen everytime I am trying to scroll around when using the marine charts. I think that may be the marking a waypoint function, but it comes onto screen way to easily, very annoying.

Thanks

Momentary touches of the screen will bring up the push pin. when you scroll the map be sure to glide your finger across the screen. That will help with the push pin. there is no way to disable it at this time.

Jordan,

I suppose there is a way to disable it, but that would lead to disabling the entire unit. :).

Thanks for the help.

Sorry but there is no way to disable the push pin. Be sure to give that idea to garmin. www.garmin.com/ideas I personally think disabling it would not be the best solution. As you get more familiar with the unit you will know how to touch the screen so the push pin does not pop up
