How capable is the Oregon 550 as an automobile GPS device?
For example, will it provide voice navigation?

Hi Sam,

With street mapping the Oregon 550 will provide turn by turn directions while navigating to a destination, it will show the same detailed map as a automotive unit. However, it lacks many automotive unit features such as voice, traffic information, bluetooth, etc.

It is good for basic street navigation, but it will not have the same list of features as the Nuvi series.

Thank you for your prompt response. I guessed as much, but lack of these features will not be show-stoppers for me, having read many reviews on how good the Oregon's other features are.
