My NiMH batteries, though not a top-shelf brand, does nothing like 16 hours. So I'm considering buying Lithium Ion batteries for my 450. What is the proper voltage for batteries for the unit? Anything else to keep in mind? My NiMH batteries, though not a top-shelf brand, does nothing like 16 hours.

You can select to use lithium, nimh and alkaline batteries in the system menu. The unit will use common voltages from those types.

My mistake in not being clear. Rechargeable lithium batteries. Those aren't compatible, are they? They all seem to be 3.6V.

You can not buy rechargeable lithium batteries in AA format so you would not be able to use them for they do not exist in a compatible format.

Also, for anyone reading this thread, new, quality NiMH batteries make a HUGE difference in battery life. My negative comments regarding battery life in my review will be modified if possible. It still isn't 16 hours, but 8-10 hours is doable.
