I just purchases the Montana 600 Model: 010-00924-00 SKU:MONT600 ($459 not received yet) I also purchase 3 different maps! Backroads Ontario, Topo Canada and City Navigation North America.

I was wondering if the GPS Montana 600 as some maps preloaded as part of the fabrication? if yes which one?

I just realise that I may of bought a map that is already preloaded!!!!

The only map in the unit is a Basemap. The Basemap contains highways but not much else. Each map you mentioned are different. The City Navigator will give you city navigation, address lookup, POIs ... The Backroads will give you a ton of trails and data for Ontario that is not in the basic topo maps. The basic Garmin topo maps you got are great for when you adventure outside of Ontario in places that don't have Backroads detail.

Thanks!I hope the busband likes is xmas present! Do you know if a backroads Quebec maps is coming out soon for my Snowmobile Fanatic! We live on the border of Ontario/Quebec and there is always more snow on the Quebec side.
