The GPS is just sitting on the table and the trip odometer reads 0.22 mi. and the speed is changing from 0.0 mh to 2.2 mh and moving time is 7:10.stopped time is at3:27 and seems to change one second after it times out and I turn it back on. Moving time is up to 8:58 now 9:06 and trip odometer is 0.28mi. Could someone tell me whats going on with my Oregon 450?
Also, when I reset the trip computer, everything resets but the odometer reading that is to the right of the speed indication.

That is normal. GPS will wonder within its accuracy circle. If you have poor reception in will wander further than if you have good satellite coverage.

Try going into the track settings and change it to distance. That way it will only record when you move more than a defined distance such as 15 meters. That way if you have an accuracy of 5m it wont be recording anything until it sees the unit move 15 m. That will work for getting accurate track data. It should work for the trip computer also
