How to display the compass and trip computer when navigating?

In the old garmin 60 series I could set waypoints as I hiked and then navigate back to them using the compass or trip computer function, very helpful to know the distance to my next waypoint as I walk towards it. In the 62 series I can't seem to figure out how to do this, I only see the waypoint on the map, no distance or compass. Is there a way to do this on the 62's?

You have to navigate to the point to get that information. Select the FIND button then choose the waypoints option. Then choose the waypoint you want to navigate to.

You can then go to the trip computer or compass page to see the data you want. If the fields you need are not displayed hit the menu button once while on one of those screens and select Change Data Fields. Select the field you want to change.
