I am trying to decide between the Zumo 660 and Montana 650 Auto Bundle for use with my motorcycle and car. Does City Nav NA function the same on the Montana (ie., POIs, Lane Assist with Junction View, 3D view, etc.) as it does on the Zumo? I'm trying to determine what I give up (if anything)by going to the Montana. I know the Zumo is more user friendly, but I like the configurability of the Montana.

When the Montana you will not get Lane Assist, Junction View, or 3D buildings. Basically everything else will be the same, you will still get all the POI's, 3D map view, etc. The features I mentioned you will not get are more unit specific than map specific.

However, with the Montana you will get a much better track feature. You can have multiple tracks, but on the Zumo you can only have one track log and you cannot do much with it. The Montana allows you to transfer them to and from your computer.

I would prefer the Montana if you can go without the features I mentioned and Bluetooth.

If your a cruiser, then get a Zumo. Much freindlier on a motorcycle with larger icons and if using a bluetooth headset like a Cardo Scala will pair up with almost any phone and give voice direction over the headset. The speakers on these are not audible above 30 mph.
But if your mainly dirt or dual sport, then the Montana would be a better choice, especially when it comes to displaying topo or BackRoad maps.

Thanks for such fast responses.

I plan on using the GPS for both my car and motorcycle (BMW R1200GSA). My motorcycle is my daily driver and on weekends I take it off road. So I'm probably 80% road use.

I don't need bluetooth, so that's not a factor. My concern is without using them side-by-side, I don't know if I'm giving up any important (routinely used) features by going to the Montana with City Nav NA instead of the Zumo. Any other differences feature wise between the two?

If you are never going to use the unit for hiking then it will be better to get the zumo series. If you want a unit that you can use hiking, biking, boating, flying, driving ... Then the Montana is the unit you want.

Side by side the zumo will definitely have more features driving on the road. The Montana will do a lot more activities. Both units will get you from point A to B on the road. Montana wont have all the bells and whistles you may not use.
