How to disable the data fields on the map screen display?

After loading OSM USA to the micro SD in my Garmin 62s, there is an area at the top of the Garmin screen that shows coordinates, distance, and direction. These are not data fields, as my data fields are set to zero. If I do utilize data fields, they disappear as soon as my cursor moves, replaced by the two-line info area at the top. If I disable OSM USA and enable a different map, the data lines still appear. Does anyone know (a) where this data block came from (since it was not there before loading OSM USA), and (b) how to disable this data area. Thanks in advance. Jerry.

When you move the cursor to browse the map you will see that data bar.

You can not disable it but when you tap the Quit button the map will center you on the screen and that bar at the top of the screen will go away
