It has been brought up that these GPSr's will load GZZ files and NOT GPX.
Could this be true?

Ok, I just found the file you are referring to. It is .GGZ . I assume stands for Garmin GNU Zip or something along that line. It is a compressed file. Both GGZ and GPX will be supported. GGZ will allow millions of points instead of thousands. GPX limits the number of points that can be read in the Garmin units. This is all I could find out at this time about the new file format
