Clock Sync: I need to be able to see Garmin's time so that I can sync my camera to Garmin. If I can't see Garmin's time, then I am unable to sync my Camera. Just so we are very clear: I have no desire to change Garmin's time. Instead, I want to view it so that I can SET my camera to the same time.

Hello Stecyk,
Here is how you can display time with seconds to synchronize your Digital Camera with the Atomic time in the Oregon GPS.

1. Go to the Trip Computer Screen.
2. In the bottom right corner there is a indicator that is a Small Number 6 and a large 6. Click that so you now have a couple large fields instead of the smaller fields.
3. Touch one of the two large fields. It will let you select the "Time of Day" as a field.
4. Once this is done on the trip computer screen you will see the time of day with seconds displayed. Now you can adjust the time in your digital Camera to be the same.

Cheers
Jordan

Hi Jordan, That's fantastic information! I looked forever trying to find a way to get an accurate time readout from my Garmin 550T so that I could sync my cameras.

Thank you!

One more note. Before syncing the time make sure you get a satellite lock first so that the time is accurate.

Cheers

By satellite lock, I am assuming that you mean that all five green bars are lit up?

A question that is bit off topic, when I see the satellites and their strengths, sometimes I will see a bar that appears hollow or not complete. That is, I see the outline, but the interior is white while the outline is green (or vice versa). What does that indicate?
