What Handheld do you recommend for use on land and water, I want some detail for water depths and port info, approach charts etc. What unit and what software

Hello Brent,

You will need a unit that takes memory cards so you can add lake detail to the unit. The most basic unit is the Garmin Etrex Lengend HCX. I recommend the Oregon 450 because it will give you the best performance today and going into the future. The legend is a older unit.
