Can you repair 60CSx GPS units? I accidently dropped my unit down a long steep rocky cliff. The rubberized base and antenna are badly scuffed up but the unit keeps on working well. However, I need to get new faceplate which has gone missing in the tumble. I am worried that the unit may not be waterproof so would like to get it fixed. Can you fix my unit?

Hello Stefan,

To ensure that your unit is waterproof when it is repaired it is best to use one of Garmins repair facilities. We currently don't have the ability to fix your GPS units screen. I will provide you with the phone number for Raytech in Canada. They do all repairs on Garmin units in Canada. At this time they are the only ones that do. You can also contact Garmin for assistance.

I travel Iraq wide and just in the last 3-5 days my 60CSx has intermittently lost satellite reception numerous times for up to 4-7minutes at a time. I have travelled the same routes before and had no issues previously. My thuraya has no probs with satellite reception. Any ideas??

Hi Jordan, thanks for the info. Will this updater delete all my current iraq mapping and any manual waypoints I have saved on those maps? Thanks

Hello Gusbro,

You should back up all data before applying a update. It may delete all user data.

Cheers
