How does this compare to the Garmin 450T?

I'm just wondering what the main difference is between these 2? I know the 550 has a camera, can you still get topo maps on it? I'm trying to find a gift for my adventurous boyfriend who loves maps & off-trail exploring.

Hi Carissa,

Here's a link to a page with a side by side comparison. Yes, you can get a topo map for it as well.

The only differences are that the Garmin Oregon 450T has preloaded Topo maps in the unit and no camera. We recommend buying the maps on DVD and not preloaded. You can add Topo to the Oregon 550.
