just need something for marking fishing spots up north sask never used a gps before is this the unit or any suggestions

This is a great unit but I would strongly recommend a unit that uses Memory cards so that if you want, you can buy the inland lake maps for your area in the future. I recommend the GPSMap 76CSX (Marine unit) because it floats or the Oregon 300 because it is the easiest unit to use. The Etrex Venture HC is the best bang for your buck and a good unit, just no memory card slot.
