Hello Bob,

If you have a Garmin Lakemaster card then yes the maps will work with the Oregon 450. If the maps are made for a Lowrance then NO they will not work.

Hello bob,

What Brand of Lakemaster card do you have? If you own the Garmin card then the Oregon 450, GPSMap 60csx, and or the GPSMap 78S are good units to investigate. I don't have any recommendations for the Lowrance handhelds. They failed a waterproof test so we decided to hold off on selling them. We may look at selling them this year but because of quality and ease of use we will almost always recommend a Garmin HH.

Cheers

I am going to be getting a garmin card if I switch to garmin. I need something that I can use on my boat for large lake navigation and also on my kayak as well.

Hello Bob,

On a Kayak the 78S would be the better option. On a boat a GPSMap 421S is a great option but has no internal battery for use on your kayak. The Oregon 450 is a good option also and it has a touch screen.

Cheers
