Did Garmin fix the 62S squeaking?

I have been reading that some people are experiencing squeaking noise when pressing the sides of the unit. Can you tell me if Garmin fixed this issue. i do like the 62s however i am a little concerned about this.

Hello Frank,

The unit still has a squeak but it is not as bad as some say. The power button to turn the unit on is on the side. So when you squeeze the unit to turn it on it makes a faint noise. I just did a quick check and the units still make the noise. I use the unit and no problems occur due to the faint noise.

I`m also considering buying this unit in May (2011).
What is the return policy. If I find the "squeaking " intolerable??
I live in Ontario.
