Hello Lyse,

T stands for Topo preloaded in handheld units. We do not recommend the preloadced Canadian Topo units because the maps are older than what is available on DVD. We put together a bundle where you get a memory card, Canadian topo maps on DVD, and a memory card. That way you get the best mapping available and you can use the maps on your PC or MAC for preplanning.

In know from backroads you can get specific topo maps for BC and Alberta. Are these maps irrelevant if you have this Canadian topo maps package???

Hello Leah,

We only recommend the Garmin Topo maps for Canada at this time. We do not sell the maps you mentioned so we can not accurately comment on them.

Cheers
