Hi, I'm trying to decide whether to get the Montana 650 or 650T. I purchased Garmin's Mapsource TOPO U.S. 2008 several years ago for my Etrex and am wondering if I can just load that software onto it or if it is worth the extra money to get the preloaded topo map that comes with the 650T. What are the differences? Also, do I need to purchase the city navigator software to be able to get turn by turn directions to addresses?

Hello Jeep,

You will be able to load the Topo 2008 onto the Montana 650. As per the difference between the maps I am unsure. Topo data does not change much over time so that data will be the same. In the newer software on DVD you may get some more up to date roads.
