I purchased the Oregon 300 GPS and also a power cable (12v). When plugging in the power cable, I was hopefull that the screen would stay continuously lit and the battery icon would go away. I don't think my Oregon is getting power thru the 12v cable. Ideas? Settings?

Thanks,

The Cable will supply power to the unit when plugged in. Here are some things you can check. Test your cable to see if it works in a friends vehicle, you power port may need a new fuse. Also check the fuse in the 12V Oregon power cable, most cables have a light on them that will light up when power is received. Next is to make sure you have the correct cable, the power cable made for the Colorado GPS will not fit the Oregon properly. I hope something above will help you find the problem with your cord.
Happy Trails
