I have just purchased the above GPS.
with the mains charger i can both charge up the unit and also use at the same time.
However, when i go to use the car cigarette charger it shows as though you are connected to the computer by showing the USB sign, with that i can not use the unit at the same time. WHY IS THIS???
The mount with the speaker for the car, will this charge up the unit and allow you to use at the same time????

The Montana car mount will charge and allow you to use the unit at the same time. You can also purchase the Garmin Cigarette lighter adapter for this unit if you don't want the full car mount.

If you use a non-Garmin power cable to power the unit it may go into computer mode.
