Will the 24" arm be able to hold a Drift HD camera with waterproof housing? Also, do these arms come in rubber coated and metal? or just rubber coated? Finally, would the 1/4" screw with 18 threads match the standard for camera tripods?

Dec 22, 2011, 2:45pm		 The flex arm will easily support up to about a pound without flexing. Depending on the application the flex arm may bend due to vibration and other variables. The flex arm is covered with a type of black plastic. The flex arm has 0.25 NPT (National Pipe Thread) ends on it and requires the appropriate adapters to be used for mounting. The threaded ends are not the same as the 1/4-20 camera mounts. In order to adapt it to a camera mount use: RAM part numbers RAMB200-1 /ram-mount-1-inch-socket-and-0.25-inch-npt-thread-arm.html and a camera mount RAP-B-366U /ram-mount-camera-mount-mini-plate-rap-b-366u.html for one end of the flex and another 0.25 adapter on the other end depending on the application. Compatible adapters are listed here: /search/q=0.25+npt
