I don't if that specific unit will fit. If the slot on the back of the GPS is 4.5mm wide or larger the adapter should fit.

Looks like my slot is wider than 4.5mm so I should be OK there. Now, I'd like to know what the thickness of the piece of metal is that slides into the slot. Thanks.

The thickness of the metal plate is 2mm.

FYI if it helps, I exchanged some emails with another customer a few weeks ago who tried this with a Magellan Roadmate and it did not work. Hopefully the 1340 is a little different, so it will work with this T-slot adapter.

You were right, it did not work but, I made it work. The thickness of the metal plate was too thick so I carefully filed it down so that it would fit in the T-Slot. The metal plate was also too wide so I had to file this down. Also, the threaded screw was too large so I had to carefully file a few of the threads off down to the shank where the screw slides into the GPS slot. If you could take these two matters into consideration and make the changes, you could sell thousands of these adapters for Magellan GPS's and perhaps other products that have similar T-Slots. I'll send you photos and I hope you will send me one of your T-Shirts.
