The RAM-B-231U stainless steel version will be the one that you would want to use in and around a salt water environment.
The stainless steel will be less likely to corrode than the zinc plated u-bolt.

So the Zinc one is not as good? Why is it more expensive?
There is no advantage of the Zinc one over the stainless steel one?
Thanks!

The zinc plated mount is good, just not as good as the stainless steel mount when used in a marine application.
The zinc plated mount comes with an extra u-bolt that will fit 1.25 inch bars.
