Universal Slide Mount for 7inch LCD Monitor?, Tom, Cali
I would like to mount a 7inch LCD touchscreen monitor in my car. Many brands such as the Xenarc 702TSV VGA Touchscreen have a slide type mount system which looks like this (see photo of back of unit): http://store.mp3car.com/PhotoGallery.asp?ProductCode=MON%2D054 Do you carry anything which will utilize this type of slide mount?

Hello Tom, I don't think we have a slide base like they show in the picture. We do have other options. What is the hole pattern on the back of the 7 inch monitor? Maybe one of our monitor options will work. Here is a search link. http://www.gpscity.com/search/q=monitor/m=1&s=4&c=RAM Mounts We would like to see pictures of your car computer when you have it all installed. If you would like please share with us in our Gallery. Have fun! http://www.gpscity.com/gallery Cheers

To those that are trying to use Ram Mounts with this slot monitor mount. It's surprisingly simple (took me forever to figure it out though). :) Hardware stores have loose screws/nuts available. Take the Ram ball mount and the monitor with you and find any nut that will fit tightly into the slot, find a screw/bolt just long enough to go through the mount and into the nut. Grab another set and use the holes diagonally across from each other and you're done. I've done this with a 9" touchscreen in my van using the 1.5" ball mount. If you're having trouble sliding the nuts in the slot, loosely thread the bolts through the mount and slide them both in using the ball mount for leverage and then tighten it all down afterward. I've also done this with a 12lbs 15" touchscreen, although that one had a 75mm VESA mounting pattern, for which Ram conveniently has a matching mount. The hard part there was finding a sturdy enough mounting point for the other end. Suction cups don't work. LOL
