You did not specify with which type of ball can we use this part. I will use this to make a rotating kneeboard with samsung 10.1 tablet craddle

The snap link parts may not be secure enough to hold your 10.1 tablet from moving around.

The snap link socket will not fit the RAM 1 inch ball.
